Role – Maintenance Engineer position
Location – Close to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm
Salary – Between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Capacity of role – Permanent position

Our client is a leading manufacturer who has a world leading product range. They are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their busy Engineering support team.
Applicants will ideally have worked within an engineering environment and will have a flexible and strong mechanical aptitude.

Main duties will include –
 To assist with the department by servicing, maintaining and supporting the smooth running of the machinery.
 To diagnose faults and strip down all machines and equipment
 Strip down machines and equipment when necessary to replace mechanical own parts.
 Completing and updating tasks using a maintenance based software
 To support and assist with service engineer visits
 Investigate and where possible offer suggestions for improvements on cost reductions
 Assisting other areas of business in a maintenance role as and when required
Candidate attributes –
 Experience within a general workshop machinery and equipment
 Applicants will be familiar with production machinery and will have experience performing a maintenance based position
 Ideally will have a good mechanical aptitude and will be capable of stripping down machines to replace items, such as bearings, conveyor belts and other worn parts.
 Will be self-discipline, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team and as an individual.
 Applicants will need to show flexibility and support to other areas of the business in a maintenance based environment.
 Possess strong communication skills, being able to discuss problems and issues with all levels of personnel.
