The Person 

Authentic, credible and yourself…peppered with some amazing experience,  

  • Previous retail customer service experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis/focus on providing an excellent customer experience preferably in a design led environment 
  • Demonstrable experience/interest in interior design/textiles, home trends and styles would be advantageous 
  • A track record of delivering strong commercial results individually 
  • Experience of working to sales targets and KPI’s 
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS package   

 

The Position 

As a Flooring Consultant, you will drive sales and profitability through the delivery of an inspired end to end customer experience. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Be devoted to exceeding customer expectations from a customer service and hospitality perspective, whether in store, online or via other communication channels. 
  • Provide advice and information on our products and services and work closely with your colleagues to convert customer enquiries into sales using the prescribed sales journey. 
  • Play your part in ensuring the store is impeccably presented both front and back of house and that product samples are impeccably presented. 
  • Adapt your approach to offer a bespoke service ensuring all customers feel welcome, comfortable, and inspired. 
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the customer’s project, taste, and preferences 
  • Use your expertise and influence, including your design capabilities, to demonstrate and explain options in-line with the customer’s needs 
  • Own your customer’s end-to-end journey and apply attention to detail throughout, ensuring the customer has a smooth and seamless experience from all those involved (including In-Home Consultants and Fitters)
