  • As Grants Programme Manager you will play an important role in aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in the communities where Greggs operates.  
  • You will successfully manage the end-to-end delivery of the Greggs Foundation’s grants programmes, especially our community grants programmes which support organisations to make a difference in local communities.  
  • You will also work with the Foundation Secretary and Manager to develop the strategy for our grants programme ensuring it maximises the impact of the Foundation and delivers our mission to build stronger healthier communities 
  • You will play a primary role in building partnerships with grantees, local infrastructure organisations and other key stakeholders. 
  • This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

  • The base location for this role is Greggs House Ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area

What you'll do
  • Lead the end-to-end management of the Greggs Foundation's grants programmes, particularly focusing on community grants initiatives. 

  • Oversee the assessment and evaluation process for grant applications, creating reports for recommendation and approval by the Grants Committee and Board of Trustees 

  • Manage grant budgets effectively. 

  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of funded projects. 

  • Identify any opportunities to develop and refine grant programmes.   

  • Cultivate and nurture partnerships with funded organisations, local infrastructure organisations, and other relevant stakeholders to maximise the impact of grants. 

  • Manage the dissemination of grant opportunities to target communities through effective marketing and outreach, ensuring broad and inclusive participation. 

About you

You will fit right into this role if you have:

  • Effective Communication Skills: Proficient in verbal and written communication, with a confident presentation style and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders internally and externally across all levels. 

  • Proactive and Self-Directed: Proven ability to use initiative and set direction, effectively managing time and workload to meet programme deadlines. 

  • Strong Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of thinking creatively to resolve issues and adapt to evolving challenges. 

  • Strong Financial Literacy: Solid data analysis and IT skills and ability to effectively manage budgets. 

  • Confidentiality and Sensitivity: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity. 

  • Grant Funding Experience: Some experience of grant funding and knowledge of the rules and regulations governing charitable giving is desirable but not essential as support and training will also be given  

  • Passion for Our Mission: Demonstrates genuine enthusiasm and commitment to supporting local communities and advancing their well-being. 

Some travel will be required, so a clean driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
