Position: Yardperson 

Location: 375 Kensington High Street W14 

Working Hours: 4 Days on 4 Days off – 0700 - 1900 

Salary:  £26,242

Development Details: 

 

This role will be based at an exclusive development in the prestigious Kensington area, featuring 522 luxurious apartments. Conveniently located just minutes away from Kensington Olympia train station. The development includes a state-of-the-art gym, a rejuvenating spa, a stylish residents' lounge, and the added comfort of a 24-hour concierge and security services. 

Please Note: Full UK Driver’s License is essential, to carry out all aspects of the role. 

 

Key Responsibilities and Requirements: 

As a Yardperson at Rendall & Rittner, we expect you: 

 

  • To report for duty punctually, wearing correct uniform (to be supplied) always taking extreme care with personal grooming. 
  • To be fully aware of his/her work schedule and ensure adequate notice is given with circumstances when he/she is prevented from adhering to the schedule. 
  • To be responsible for ensuring accurate records are provided daily to the Deputy Facilities Manager / Senior Facilities Manager for all tasks carried out. 
  • To be always efficient and courteous to residents and fellow colleagues alike and to exercise proper discipline and courtesy in attending to residents’ needs. 
  • To understand and adhere to all Estate procedures for security measures, fire and health and safety. 
  • Clean the forecourt, entrance hall, fire escape staircases, basement areas, garden and front steps and assist by ensuring that the common parts of the premises are kept clean and clear. 
  • To ensure that all refuse stores are kept cleaned and that all bins are ready for the refuse collection company to pick up. 
  • Ensure that all lights in the common parts are kept working and replace any light bulbs no longer working. 
  • Litter picking all estate areas and ensuring all external bins are cleared daily and clearing dog mess on the development.  
  • To report and repair (if possible) any minor faults/problems or items of want/repair in the building immediately as they become apparent. 
  • Report any evident rodent/pest activity. 
  • To report irregular / problematic behaviour of residents, any incidents, complaints, suspicious persons, or safety hazards immediately to appropriate parties. 
  • To participate in the building of an efficient team by taking an active interest in the day-to-day operation. 
  • To ensure strict control is adhered to when receiving and issuing equipment. All losses to be reported immediately to Management. 
  • To assist in the training of colleagues ensuring the necessary skills are present to perform duties with maximum efficiency and to be responsible for requesting own training needs. 
  • To thoroughly clean any additional designated areas ensuring the correct standards are achieved addressing any areas needing attention. 
  • To immediately hand over to the management team any lost and found items. 
  • To ensure all work schedules are followed through efficiently and in line with priorities. 
  • To report all necessary maintenance requirements or faults. 
  • To comply with guidelines outlined for the proper use, protection and safety whilst undertaking your duties and specifically those relating to substances hazardous to health per COSHH and manual handling. 
  • To ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment under your responsibility / use is maintained. 
  • To ensure all storerooms are always kept in an orderly and clean manner. 
  • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or client. 
  • To be flexible and carry out any other reasonable duties or responsibilities within the job capability as assigned. 
  • To attend training and meetings as and when required. 
  • To be familiar with and adhere to all objectives, standards, policies, and procedures set forth by the General Managers / Facilities Managers and to perform any other duties as requested. 
  • To carry out any other such duties that may be required. 
  • You may be required to work in other properties and adhere to their roles and regulations.
