Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week / 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)

The role

We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Analyst (New Business) to join our Finance team here at Housing 21 on a fixed-term contact for 12 months.

Within the role you will provide a professional management accounting and financial support service to relevant business divisions, directorates and/or functions.

The successful candidate will provide the relevant divisions, directorates/functions with any relevant financial management information, support required for effective operational oversight and decision-making e.g. in regard to profitability, debt management, KPIs, capex, investment options, contract management, supplier management.

While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements for the role include:

  • Double entry accounting and basic balance sheet management
  • Working towards AAT qualification and relevant experience
  • Complex financial systems with numerous interfaces from feeder systems (desirable)
  • Financial controls and safeguards (desirable)
  • Budgeting and forecasting activities (desirable)
