The Senior Finance Support Analyst must be willing to travel into London periodically (likely no more than once a month) for site visits and client meetings. Hybrid or remote working can be considered and is dependent on the applicant.

Managing the finances for between 1-5 prime London developments (depending on the size and complexity), you will form a close working partnership with our property managers and key clients and will periodically attend client meetings/site visits (generally once a month). To excel in this role, you will be an experienced and knowledgeable private sector residential Service Charge Accountant, looking to fulfil your potential in a role that sees the entire annual cycle through for these large and complex developments.

What will you be doing?

As a Finance Support Analyst in our London team, you’ll be working at our Hoddesdon Head Office (hybrid or remote working can be considered) attending client meetings or site visits at your London portfolio about once a month. You’ll work closely with Property Managers to provide any reporting and data analysis to fulfil their function, ensuring that the information being provided is accurate and presented well. You’ll have great communication skills and enjoy plenty of interaction with our property managers, key clients and at all levels within the wider organisation both internally and externally.

  • To provide property managers with financial information as requested within a reasonable timeframe.
  • To process the requests received from managers.
  • To deal with day to day queries from clients and Property Managers.
  • To send periodic reporting to Clients / Property Managers in pre-agreed format.
  • To undertake transfer of funds correctly within client accounts
  • To ensure budgets are entered into the system accurately and within a timely manner when received.
  • To prepare the year end service charge accounts in line with client timelines and liaise with them on any queries.
  • Ensure Property Managers have the necessary financial assistance to be able to analyse and interpret data provided to them.
  • Arrange and liaise with auditors when audits are due/in progress.
  • Process any instructions following external and/or internal agreement between parties i.e. making adjustments.
  • Ensuring Annual Returns & Tax Returns are filed on the required basis.
  • Attend meetings/communicate with as required with Operational Directors, Heads of Departments, Business Development Managers, Regional/Property Managers, CCC, HCL, Clients and others to set-up and/or resolve any queries.
  • Meet all Service Level Agreements within stated deadlines.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 18 months’ experience in property accounting, preparing residential service charge accounts and void calculations for private sector residential developments.
  • Medium to advanced user of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Highly organised, forward thinking, taking a lateral approach to problem solving.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, polite and courteous to all parties always.
  • Communicate in a well written and professional manner.
  • Have a proven work ethic; striving to constantly improve personal performance while working towards team objectives.
  • Demonstrate a consistent high level of customer service.
