Your Role as a Commercial Manager

Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge that combines your expertise in cost management with broader commercial responsibilities? We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective cost management, cost control, and commercial management across a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes. If you're looking for an opportunity to utilise your extensive QS experience in a multifaceted role, this could be the perfect fit for you.

As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management and commercial operations across life cycle and capital works projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring value for money, cost control, and active commercial management while maintaining strong client relationships. You will work closely with client commercial teams to streamline processes and deliver efficient end-to-end solutions. The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
  • Professional Membership of RICS, CIOB.
  • Extensive experience in construction/maintenance environment providing cost management, cost control, and cost forecasting.
  • Experience in contract administration and different building contract forms, including NEC and JCT.
  • Strong supply chain management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and project finance.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Full understanding of Construction, Design and Management Regulations and other relevant health and safety requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working within a leadership team.
