We are currently looking for a Business Administrator to join our friendly team based at our Tarmac Colchester Office.  This role is commutable from Colchester, Tiptree, West Mersea, Clacton-on-Sea, Great Bentley, Braintree, Witham, Ipswich, Sudbury, Halstead, Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

Due to the nature of the role and on completion of training, then this role will be a Hybrid working position.

Main Responsibilities

As the Business Administrator you will have worked in a similar industry providing either internal or external business support to your wider team and the Tarmac group. Other responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Demonstrate an excellent business manner when dealing with colleagues across the business
  • Prioritise and multitask daily duties
  • Handling incoming emails
  • Understanding and assessing team needs
  • Supporting the team by handling their requests or directing to a relevant department
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate SAP records
  • Engage with the wider Tarmac team to better understand requirements and develop and maintain relationships
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Maintain proactive communication across the region of work
The Ideal Candidate

It is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Business Administrator will be experienced in the following:

  • SAP systems
  • Basic spreadsheet use
  • Working collaboratively with the existing team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Showing a positive attitude, building rapport and positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues
  • Being ambitious to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goal

In the role of Business Administrator you will also have:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Numeracy and analytical ability

Training will be provided for:

  • Products, Procedures and our Computer systems
