We're looking for a Security Officer to join our friendly team at Tunstead in Buxton.

In the role of Security Officer you will be responsible for: 

• Providing security and safety of staff, contractors, visitors, site buildings and their contents throughout a 24 hour cycle, 365 days per year. This requirement means the post holder will be required to work a shift system.

• Attend & pro-actively deal with any security or traffic related incident in a professional manner compliant with site safety standards.

• Provide a proficient first point of contact for all site visitors ensuring the relevant safety induction is delivered.

The ideal candidate for the role of Security Officer will have experience of:

• Clean Drivers License
• Previous experience in a similar working environment and/or security field would be beneficial with emphasis on being customer focused
• Use of IT software (Word, Excel, Gmail, PowerPoint)
• Current first aid certificate from a recognised institute.
• Banksman Trained.
• Current SIA License or training will be given to obtain these.
• A good knowledge and appreciation of current security environments, the potential risks and threats and actions to mitigate these.
