Insurance Retentions Executive; The Insurance Octopus

Location: Sale, Manchester

Role Profile (The purpose of the role)

This is a high-volume outbound calling B2B sales role, focused on engaging with TIO's existing customers to renew their contracts and retain the products and services TIO supply them. A key requirement of the role is that all activity performed aligns to TIO's values and sales behaviours, with a customer-centric focus always maintained.

Reports to: Retentions Manager

Responsibilities of the role

  • Outbound call to TIO customers to retain and renew commercial insurance policies
  • Perform all activity within regulatory standards, GDPR, quality policies and FCA regulation
  • Complete all reports, system and CRM updates in a timely and accurate manner
  • Possess good knowledge of TIO’s systems and business processes
  • Possess the ability to renew majority of TIO insurance products and packages and to transact new business policies
  • Complete all financial transactions in accordance with CASS rules and GDPR restrictions
  • Manage mid-term customer queries, ensuring policy is fit for requirements
  • Create excellent working relationships across the TIO colleague community
  • Create excellent working relationships across the Verastar colleague community.

Success Measures

  • Achieve all commercial targets in a consistent manner (month-by-month)
  • Achieve all agreed activity targets
  • Achieve all objectives agreed with the Customer Retentions Team Manager
  • Operate within TIO quality guidelines and FCA compliance rules
  • Receive above par scores from customer satisfaction surveys and internal feedback.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2-years demonstrable success in a high-volume desk-based B2B lead generation or sales role, commercial insurance preferred, but not essential
  • Experience of negotiating multiple products, price and contract terms with customers
  • A proficient level of understanding of B2B sales processes
  • A proficient level of understanding of regulatory requirements impacting B2B sales organisations.

  • Good written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to adapt communication styles to individual customers
  • High level of attention to detail and organisation, with a sense of ownership, pride and responsibility for the accuracy of own work
  • The drive, resilience and focus required to win in a competitive new business sales environment

  • A professional and pleasant demeanour, with the desire to create good working relationships with both colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Industry Experience: commercial insurance outbound sales, preferred but not essential
  • I.T. literate, with a working knowledge of the use of CRM systems, essential
  • Location: Within commuting distance of TIO HQ, Sale, Manchester, essential.
