Are you a experienced Commercial Property Solicitor, preferably with a background in the social housing sector? Are you a skilled leader with a focus on performance management and continuous improvement?

Supporting the Head of Legal Counsel, you’ll use your technical and leadership skills to ensure the seamless delivery of commercial property activity across the team, keeping a focus on excellent customer service and great results.

It’s a varied role delivering the legal property team objectives, while always staying aligned to the bigger business strategy. You will need to assist the team to meet performance related targets, key performance indicators and legal compliance.

The ideal person would have a track record of shaping service delivery and developing internal standards, policies and procedures, while always ensuring compliance with best practice, legislative and regulatory frameworks.

We would look for someone who can demonstrate commercial insight and an ability to evaluate, develop and improve our ways of working. The focus being excellence, value for money and supporting others across the organisation along the way.

It is a demanding role, but by developing and managing the teams, improving the work plans and ultimately enabling services to be as effective as possible, it is pivotal in Bromford meeting our targets, and providing exceptional service and standards in everything we do.

This role is available as a full time 10 month fixed term contract. You can be based from any of our main offices in Chipping Sodbury, Tewkesbury or Wolverhampton.

The right person will ideally be able to demonstrate direct, or transferable, experience or knowledge of:

• Technical and professional leadership
• Building and maintaining close working relationships with inter departmental teams
• Providing effective and timely communication
• A minimum two years post qualification experience
• Working in land, commercial property, conveyancing and landlord and tenant law preferably within the social housing sector
• Be a qualified Solicitor/Chartered Legal Executive (with conveyancing authority)
• Presenting information clearly in a user friendly manner, with good computer skills.
• Displaying excellent financial acumen
