Health and Safety Advisor
 
As a Health & Safety Advisor with Sodexo Londonderry you’ll champion a positive culture of Health & Safety across the site and use your expertise to provide solutions, advice, and support where necessary. You will manage the delivery of all Environmental, Health & Safety, Compliance and continuously seek ways to enhance quality and promote the health and well-being of our employees.

What you’ll do:   
  • Acting as a site ambassador you will ensure all staff and all activities are compliant with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation. 
  • This role has responsibility for overseeing all activities in relation to HSEQ in Cleaning, Catering and Grounds Maintenance.
  • You will identify ways of improving Health, safety & Environmental awareness.
  • You will deliver and perform all contracted services as measured through performance management systems and monthly management information reports.
  • Health & Safety risks are managed in controlled and structured manner and continuous improvements are made to enhance delivery. 
  • Your clients perceive and demonstrate satisfaction with services delivered through contract performance.
  • You must be a recognised leader within the business and a high performing team member. – remove this line 
  • Creating internal networks and forums and sharing best practice at technical & business levels.
  • You will work alongside training managers to help with dedicated training and on-site training where applicable.
 
What you bring: 
  • A minimum level 3 NEBOSH or equivalent professional Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience of implementing Safety & Quality Management Systems and a knowledge of Facilities Delivery, related to legislation and practice would be desirable but not essential.
  • You will also have a willingness to work with site teams at all levels.
  • Level 3 Managing Food Safety would be desirable but not essential.
