As a Residential Security Assistant at Plas-Y-Wern, Ruabon in Wrexham, no two days are the same and your actions will make impact the safety and security of the residents and building. What you’ll do: 

• Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security protocols, also ensure that the safety and environment for our residents is of our highest priority.

• Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems 

• Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting  

• Log and transfer calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff

• To carry out regular patrols throughout the shift

What you bring: 

• Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities  

• Over 18 years of age 

• Standard SIA License 

• Excellent communication and awareness skills 

• Experience in working in a similar role 

• Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures 

• Due to the nature of the site, The premises are residential units which house ex-offenders in the community- This means that this role is subject to a full DBS clearance.

• 42 hours per week
• £10.42 to £10.84 per hour

Please note: Security vetting is required for this position due to the nature of the sites. Mostly probation offices and approved premises', these sites see ex offenders in the community.
