Senior Salmon are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager for our client in Telford.

Due to a number of large projects and an increase in business, we are looking to add to their team on a permanent basis.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• To lead and direct the Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives to execute the Company strategy.
• To lead and maintain the ISO standards, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Providing advice and guidance to all internal and external management to ensure the Company complies with its statutory obligations.
• Overall responsibility for Health & Safety, ensuring all site facilities are operating safely and responsibly, in line with relevant standards and legislation.
• Developing and maintaining a culture that achieves high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Ensuring staff are trained sufficiently and proficiently to health and safety requirements
• Ensure the internal audit schedule is maintained and completed in line with the schedule
• Drive non-conformities to completion.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the IMS system.

Essential skills:
• Background in manufacturing or construction is preferred but not essential.
• Hold a relevant H&S Qualification (NEBOSH is essential)
• Excellent knowledge of current H&S legislations
• Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office packages
• Excellent presentation, report writing and communication skills
• Passionate attitude and approach to H&S.
