Colas are looking for a Highways Asset Inspector to join the team based in Portsmouth. Reporting to the Asset Manager you will be responsible for carrying out service inspections and asset inventory validations of all assets on the Portsmouth Network.

You will be responsible for Asset enquiries, site inspections and auditing the asset inventory and undertaking service inspection validation for proactive maintenance works. You will ensure all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard to Health and Safety. You will validate on site asset information against GIS based information. You will be required to audit asset inventory information and attributes. 

The ideal candidate will have a CSCS card and a full UK driving licence, C&G (or equivalent) in Highways Inspection is preferred but not essential. A good knowledge and understanding of visual condition survey inspections and UK PMS standards, maintenance of highway, highways assets management principles is preferred but not essential as training will be given. You will have good ICT Skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) and have a good understanding of health and safety.
