National Care Group (NCG) is a leading provider of care and support services to vulnerable adults throughout the United Kingdom. We work closely with the people we support, their family members, local authorities and care providers to provide high quality, person-centred support across the following services: supported living, residential care, outreach & home support, and day services.

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Auditor to join our team. 

The role will involve auditing the quality of National Care Group services in line with national regulatory standards in England & Wales. The postholder will also support the Head of Quality to monitor overall quality and compliance across all National Care Group Services and inform the implementation of quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in Social Care sector preferably with adults and young people. Experience of either Care Inspectorate Wales and or Care Quality Commission inspection methodology is essential.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct regulatory-based audits including desk-based assessments of National Care Group services to make sure they are operating in line with statutory requirements and nationally agreed best practice for adult social care services.
  • Develop individual audit plans which details activities, timelines and priorities and ensures capacity to schedule and manage inspections using NCG agreed formats based upon the regulatory requirements of Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate of Wales.
  • Support services to improve quality to enable National Care Group to provide outstanding outcomes for the people we support.
  • Assess and analyse information from a range of sources in order to be effective in promptly identifying trends in respect of risks and concerns that may impact negatively on standards of quality and safety and indicate non-compliance.
  • Ensure that judgements made are based on corroborated evidence and analysis and maintain an audit trail of evidence assessed. 
  • Report to the Head of Quality, or in their absence the Quality Director, on progress and to highlight areas of risk.
  • Support the Head of Quality to review action plans.
  • Ensure that people we support are placed at the heart of service delivery and desired outcomes are in line with NCG values.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience at an operational level within a compliance, contract monitoring or commissioning role.
  • Experience of working in the field of learning disabilities, mental health or autism
  • NVQ 4/5 in Care or similar qualification
  • Must have experience of using electronic compliance system.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Required to be flexible and drive, for Hybrid working. The role requires regular travel nationally, overnight stays and remote work.
