Plug Me In (part of Calisen group) is expanding its range of activities in line with its mission to deliver Smarter Energy for All.

Smart Meter services, the installation of Heat pumps and EV charging will reinforce Calisen’s role in helping to roll-out energy transition assets in support of Net Zero.

Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and competitive Technical Sales Executive to join the team and help continue this business growth.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the customer journey from enquiry through to job completion and aftercare service, delivering ambitious sales targets. The role is sales oriented, with a technical understanding of the service being offered in the Plug Me In Heat division. The Technical Sales Executive will be a key point of contact, guiding and managing customers and delivering excellent customer service throughout.

In addition, the Technical Sales Executive will strive to understand the customer's needs, providing knowledge and awareness to help make the transition to a Heat Pump as easy as possible, while also answering questions from a technical background.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday on a hybrid basis, whereby you will work from home but also required to travel to our Wigan or Ashton office at least 2 days per week, with a salary to be discussed dependent on experience and qualifications.

What We Are Looking For

  • Good level of education (minimum GCSE level including English & Maths or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working as a sales representative or executive, ideally within the renewable/smart energy industry, where you have had to deal with difficult or unresponsive customers.
  • Technical understanding of gas and central heating.
  • Any experience of dealing with or applying for ECO scheme grants/funding would be advantageous.
