As the Channel Editor, Sleep for Saga Exceptional you will propose, write, commission and edit original and inventive sleep content for our exciting new site, working closely with the Editor in Chief, Fitness and managing our Sleep Writer.
We’re looking for a candidate with a true passion for all things sleep, and an eye for a good story. Someone who understands everything from the science of sleep and its importance for overall wellbeing, to how the right products can aid getting a good night’s rest.
Day-to-day, you’ll be generating and updating timely sleep content to inform, inspire and entertain our readers. This will include in-depth explainers, helpful how-to and tips features, and timely news articles, as well as best-in-class reviews and easy-to-digest buying guides when the subject matter calls for it.
Every article should be written with the experienced Saga Exceptional audience in mind, addressing their passions, curiosities and needs – and all with the aim of helping them attain the holy grail of a sound night’s sleep. You’ll have first-rate SEO skills, a sound understanding of keyword strategy, and know how to incorporate the required E-E-A-T signals into top-quality content.
We're looking for a Channel Editor with an address book bursting with industry and PR contacts, which we’d expect you to grow and maintain by representing Saga Fitness at key events, launches, meetings and briefings both nationally and internationally.
This is an exciting role for an established journalist with a passion for demonstrable knowledge of sleep to join a new site at the beginning of its journey. You’ll be coming in on the ground floor, helping us build Exceptional into the leading digital destination for the over 50s.
