Job Description:

Following a review of our People structure, we are excited to introduce a new Organisational Development Lead role. Leading a small team of specialists or co-ordinators you will support in the delivery of our People strategy that includes – Culture, engagement, performance, D&I, workforce and capability planning, talent & succession and EVP across our Branch Network and Head Office

Main Responsibilities

We’re looking for someone that has a proven track record in delivering people related change/ organisational development and leading a successful team to deliver to a high performance. You’ll work closely with our Senior Leadership Team and will therefore be able to build effective, lasting relationships at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To be part of a pool of internal experts on any given OD subject as needed by the Society in service of the Corporate Strategy and plan · Drive delivery of our People Strategy outcomes by designing, planning and delivering OD work clearly aligned to the People Strategy outcomes

  • Work in partnership with People Partners, acting as a key contact and conduit with them for Organisational Development.

  • Provide additional leadership and team support as agreed with People Partners on ad hoc basis, prioritising any resource impacts with the People Leadership Team

  • Working with the Commercial team and Colleague Comms, to enable the development of a clear articulation and communication of Skipton’s Strategy including how the culture supports with the delivery.

  • Working with the Diversity and Inclusion Lead, identify ways to continually develop an inclusive culture in which colleagues are able to perform to their potential

  • Identify cultural challenges to be addressed and co-formulate plans with leaders to address appropriate measures

  • Link cultural objectives with leadership development and Behaviours Framework.

  • Identify, scope and prioritise opportunities that support improvement of colleague experience

  • Contribute to our People Strategy

  • Provide thought leadership through internal and ext ernal research

  • Research best practise externally to create and use the right balance of measures for insight into culture and OD interventions

Ideal Candidate

You’ll have a passion for people management and a background in HR/Change or leadership. As a leader you will be able to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels with the ability to receive feedback and turn this into clear actions
