Our client is looking for Quality Controller (night shift) to check and assess the safety, quality and legality aspects of products through all stages of processing and despatch of final product whilst adhering to Health and safety practices and GMP standards.

Factory is based in Hull (HU3 area).

Immediate start available for the right candidate!!!!!

Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday
18:00 - 03:00

Responsibilities:
• Assist the Line Team Leader in setting up the line as required.
• Print off the required paperwork for completion
• Assist in collating product and ingredient traceability information for documentation.
• Verify online and offline scales at the start of each shift.
• Conduct metal detection checks on the line at required frequency – take appropriate action for all metal detection failures.
• Conduct fail-safe checks on the metal detectors at the start and end of each shift – take appropriate corrective action for non-conformances identified.
• Check online and offline printing info on labels e.g Price, Barcode, Use-by etc at required frequency and ensure accurate documentation
• Work along with team leaders to check and verify correct labels, barcode, Use-by dates applied to correct products at Start of run/half hourly and End of run
• Check packed product average weights/catch weights at required frequency
• Check packaging and seal integrity at required frequency.
• Conduct line clearance ensuring product and labels from previous runs have all been removed, all reject bins emptied and bins cleared after each product run.
• Print off traceability from Intake for reference against WIP material brought to the line and ensure right batch codes, UB date and traceability information is all correct.
• Maintain good housekeeping, comply with and promote Company Food Hygiene and Environmental policies and ensure the Company operates in compliance with relevant legislation;
• Carry out any other duties as required by your manager;
• Adopt ‘best practice’ in accordance with Company processes and procedures and adhere to Company policy guidelines.


Skills and Knowledge:
• Previous experience in similar role would be an advantage
• Basic Health & Safety
• Level 2 Food hygiene
• Good level of English language, written and oral
• Team worker
• Reliability; Attention to details
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Able to work with own initiative
