We are currently recruiting for a Lead Business Analyst to join the Transformation team at cardfactory. 

The Lead BA acts as a partner with business function stakeholders to enable the best match of project delivery, information technology and business needs. With the responsibility of further enhancing the existing Business Analysis capability through managing and mentoring existing Business Analysts as well as providing support to existing projects and initiatives in a Business Analysis capacity. Dedicated to monitoring Business satisfaction and understanding and relaying Business needs to projects. The role is tethered between the Business and Transformation Office (TO) at strategic and tactical levels, ensuring that the projects and TO understands the business requirements and can provide services that meet these needs.

This is a hybrid role with our head office being based in Wakefield, with great links to the M1 and free parking. 

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of business analysts in providing expert support to the business, helping to identify areas of improvement and growth for each team member, increasing their effectiveness as a business analyst
  • Develop  and embed Business Analysis principles and best practices at both a strategic and tactical level
  • Elicit and analyse current vs future states across people, the organisation, processes and information/technology, helping to understand and facilitate the desired outcome
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommended courses of actions based on thorough and insightful analysis
  • Communicate key insights and findings to in function teams and the wider business
  • Provide strategic advice based on knowledge of Card Factory’s services and how service offerings can support business objectives
  • Build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to understand business activities and business drivers, business benefits and business requirements
  • Assist TO and the wider business with understanding the value of business analysis as well as how to adopt best practice, using the right methods and services throughout a project’s lifecycle
  • Support the production of quality business cases with detailed requirements listed and business outcomes, deliverables and benefits clearly outlined;
  • Ensure that projects are in line with business needs and that requirements are met
  • Partner with key stakeholders throughout all phases of the project
  • Monitor business satisfaction and subsequently identify opportunities to improve BA service delivery
  • Establish critical success factors and key performance indicators.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Demonstrable experience as a Senior Business Analyst (Essential)
  • Previous experience in business engagement (Desirable)
  • Accustomed to working in a waterfall environment
  • Previous experience managing a team of Business Analysts
  • Demonstrable competence across the Business Analysis skillset
  • Ability to work collaboratively and bring people together to achieve common goals using strong interpersonal skills
  • BCS or IIBA Business Analysis Accreditation
  • Effective time and activity management to ensure required deadlines are met
  • Able to evidence an innovative approach to your role, identifying and proposing opportunities
  • Be self-driven and have the ability to work autonomously, ensuring that business requirements are met
  • Ability to lead change
  • Ability to drive execution across various departmental groups
  • Highly organised, the ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines
