Contract Manager

Compass Group have an exciting opportunity as a contract Manager to develop and lead a team of Cleaning and Support Services Managers within the contract to provide exceptional service to our clients. Manage client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to. Drive foodservice and FM support service solutions that exceed new and existing customer requirements.

Review business performance and ensure delivery of key financial targets in line with management and performance reporting. Demonstrate commercial value to the Leadership and Executive teams in line with the One Compass vision, values and overall business strategy.

More about the role:

Duties will involve but not be limited to 

  • Implement senior client review process to identify additional sales/service opportunities
  • Communicate strategy to the team and ensure that improvements are implemented to maximise performance and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide operational insight alongside strategic marketing plans to grow sales/services and deliver customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that all legislative and One Compass operational policies are implemented to provide a safe environment for all
  • Lead and drive the strategy of growth and retention of new and existing business in each sector through leading the development of long term account plans, including a rolling lifecycle review process
  • Drive the sales team to develop financially sound bids and proposals and sign off final agreements to ensure we deliver operationally sound contracts
  • Development of strategic client relationships
  • Deliver the profit for the region through leading the Contract and Support Services Managers in delivery of their financial targets.
  • Taking reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what they do or what they fail to do.
  • Complete an HSE induction with an HSE Manager / HSE Sector Leader within 8 weeks of commencement of employment.
  • Complete Level 3 HSE e-learning courses as appropriate within 26 weeks of commencing employment.
  • Ensure that sites under their control are implementing all relevant HSE procedures, including HACCP, Risk Assessments, accident and incident reporting, HSE training.
  • Drive and implement strategies to develop, train, maintain and motivate workforce to deliver business requirements
  • Ensure succession and manpower planning policies are in place and actively encouraged
  • Ensure that management continually develop, implement and monitor activities that will enhance team development and engagement and loyalty
  • Ensure you and your direct reports live and breathe the Medirest Way behaviours.
Who you are:
  • Senior management experience in Catering and Facilities Management
  • Senior management experience leading and inspiring operational teams to deliver results
  • Led the implementation of change programmes to deliver operational benefits
  • Experience of working within brand guidelines to deliver results
  • Experience in highly commercial and price sensitive markets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fully conversant with current Health and Safety and food safety regulation.
  • Experience on application of risk management, analysis and reduction
  • Managed senior level third party relationships
  • Leadership – proven track record of strong leadership and change management
