We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Investigations Manager to join the business. You will work with a team of analysts identifying dishonest, malicious and process loss activity across the company. You’ll need to develop and implement processes and strategies effective for the detection and prevention of fraudulent and criminal activity and assess current business processes to mitigate risk. You will support the Profit Protection team, Sector FD and Sector MD to prevent theft and fraud. Your day to day could involve visiting sites across your region to investigate activity concerning allegations of theft or fraud; gathering evidence, statements and financial information to a high standard and ensure that appropriate disciplinary, civil or criminal remedies are applied.

As Investigations Manager you will also

• Provide expert analysis to identify dishonest, malicious and process loss activity.
• Visit units to investigate exceptions, whilst providing training to the unit team to assist in the detection of theft and fraud.
• Conduct interviews with employees at all levels in accordance with employment law and legal best practice.
• Use data mining techniques to detect and interpret the data relating to stock, cash, epos, purchasing, payroll and expenses

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of a similar loss prevention or Profit Protection role within a retail business.
• Ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
• Skilled investigator with experience of interviewing using the PEACE model and employment law.
• Experienced in training and coaching 
• Experienced in carrying out detailed and complex investigations including formal statements, contemporaneous note taking and investigative interviewing.
• Experienced in using IntelliQ or similar data mining tool to identify potential loss, theft and fraud.
• Ability to analyse, evaluate and prioritise information
• Sound knowledge of criminal law, employment law and disciplinary process.

Knowledge of SAP, Cognos and Nexus would be advantageous.
