We are looking at bringing onboard a talented individual to join us as our Head of Operations, managing some of our prestigious contracts in the UK.

The purpose of the role is to develop and lead a team of managers across multiple contracts to provide exceptional service to our clients and to manage the employee life cycle.  Manage client and contractual relationships in a commercial manner ensuring compliance and company policies are adhered to. Drive the catering services to exceed customer requirements whilst delivering key financial targets and contract specification. Identify and help develop FM organic growth opportunities within existing catering contracts.

More about the role:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and deliver continuous improvement plans
  • Adherence to all client and company Policies
  • Development and management of labour strategy in line with contract specifications
  • Delivery of all HSE requirements both contractually and legislatively
  • Management of required licenses
  • Monitor and measure contractual and internal KPI’s, identify and develop continuous improvements
  • Management and development of client relationships
  • Achievement of financial budgets
  • Production and maintenance of continuity and emergency plans
  • Training and development of all employees
  • Sub-Contractor adherence to client and company policy
  • Support the development of FM services in the sector through the continuous improvement of our FM proposition
  • Maintain and develop catering services in our FM contracts
  • Develop and maintain strategy for growth and retention
  • Support the sales team to develop financially sound bids and proposals and sign off final agreements
  • Support the mobilisation of new business wins
  • Develop and implement the governance and communication strategy
Who you are:

Our Ideal Head of Operations (Catering) will have: 

Essential

  • Corporate Alignment – Aligns their team to the business, values, and commitments 
  • Results Orientation – Goes the extra mile.
  • Ability to work flexibly
  • Senior management experience leading and inspiring operational teams, working within brand guidelines to deliver results
  • Developed and led an implementation of change programme to deliver operational benefits 
  • Experience in highly commercial and price sensitive markets 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills  
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior management level - contract value in excess £3M (contract / regional management) or ability to demonstrate they have the desired acumen to discharge the role as set out in the Key Accountabilities
  • Demonstrable financial acumen
  • Excellent management skills & ability to demonstrate change management through a team
  • Have a proven track record of client / customer satisfaction (how do they put the customer front & centre)
  • Driving License
  • Ability and desire to develop/transfer skills into other service lines such as cleaning, security.

Desirable

  • SIA Licence holder (able to qualify)
