Our Prevention and Early Intervention (P&EI) Services are hard at work delivering multi-disciplinary, short-term social care interventions to keep adults across Cambridgeshire living safely and independently. But our evolving operational teams need even more essential support from our Business Support workforce to keep running smoothly, and we would like to hear from you, if you would like to be part of our conscientious and passionate team!

Due to expanding our business support capacity, we are recruiting Senior Business Officers across our P&EI services that can manage business support staff and support the work within our P&EI teams such as, Reablement, Technology Enabled Care, Adult Early Help, Occupational Therapy, Enhanced Response and more.

These are permanent positions and, for the right candidate, we are open to discussing part-time hours. Work bases will be determined by position, but will include Amundsen House, St Ives, Hereward Hall, March and Princess of Wales Hospital, Ely. Successful applicants will be expected to travel across the county as required.   

Senior Business Officers within P&EI work predominantly over 5 days, Monday through to Friday, but you may be required to work over a scheduled weekend, to manage and support your staff. The salary for this role is Scale 6, and will be between £27,344 and £29,439, dependent upon experience. Additional and enhanced rates for weekend working will also apply, together with the opportunity for performance-based pay progression.

What will you be doing?

The Senior Business Officer role within P&EI is varied and dynamic. You will communicate with a vast range of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels to ensure effective service provision to all of our customers.

Key duties and responsibilities include: 

 

  • Providing high quality administrative support to operational teams to ensure efficient service delivery 
  • Line-managing a small team of Business Officers, overseeing their daily activities and workloads and undertaking regular 1:1 supervision 
  • Providing key support and co-ordination to current projects across the service 
  • Working closely with other Senior Business Officer across the wider directorate to ensure consistency in our practices 
  • Support changes that impact the Business Support workforce and provide advice to service/team managers and their teams

You will need:

  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of all Windows and Microsoft packages
  • An organised approach with the ability and drive to manage your workload, prioritise and forward plan
  • Brilliant customer service skills and the ability to create and sustain trong working relationships with all of our stakeholders
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and first-rate communication skills to enable you to support managers and colleagues and represent the service in a positive and professional manner
  • Exceptional team-working skills, with the ability to professionally influence and lead others and be willing to share your knowledge and experience with your colleagues
  • A can-do attitude and a flexible approach to your working pattern
