As our Grants & Community Investment Officer you’ll be responsible for building effective relationships with charities, local authorities and community groups across Staffordshire & Midlands area. You’ll act as a trusted adviser, providing impartial support and guidance to identified groups/charities on grant applications, adhering to charity commission regulations and effective delivery of their community-based projects.

Using your knowledge of the business, communities, grants and community investment you’ll be a horizon thinker, spotting opportunities where we can add value in our communities.

This role is permanent, full time and will consist of a mix of working in the field, from one of our offices in Wolverhampton, Lichfield or Tewkesbury and home working.

You will be someone who:

  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills
  • Ability to build trusting relationships
  • In depth knowledge of charities and grant applications, with a proven track record of return on grant applications
  • Knowledge of current fundraising procedures and regulations affecting fundraising activities
  • Budget management experience
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Ability to project plan, deliver on targets and to prioritise work with competing deadlines
  • Be able to drive and have a full UK driving licence
