As a Security Warden at Chauvasse House, Berechurch Road, Colcheste​r No two days are the same and your actions will directly impact the safety and security of the clients and the building they work in. This is a recovery and transition unit for people in the forces leaving the army or going through periods they need mental and wellbeing help... you'll be improving the quality of life for all you meet! What you’ll do: 

To provide silent hours staff cover within PRC (Personnel Recovery Centre). Able to act as the first point of contact for residents seeking practical help or advice and provide the first level of response to incidents within or in the immediate environs of the PRC. The Warden's objectives are to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the residents, the serviceability of the building and the maintenance of the good name of both PFI and the Ministry of Defence (MOD)

What you bring:

  • Ability to interact with staff, residents, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities  
  • Standard SIA License is desirable
  • First Aid trained is desirable
  • Excellent communication and awareness skills 
  • Experience in working in a similar
  • Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures 
  • Due to the nature of the site, The premises are residential units which house ex-offenders in the community- This means that this role is subject to a full DBS clearance.

Package Description
  • 32 hours per week
  • Rolling 6 day roster, with 16.40-00.00, 23.40-08.00, 08.00-20.00, 20.00-08.00
  • £10.00 per hour
  • Full training provided
  • Annual leave April - April 20 days per calendar year which increases with service
