If you are interested in procurement in the public sector, please read on. This apprenticeship is based in the high performing Procurement and Commercial Team at Cambridgeshire County Council. We offer a competitive salary which increases annually as you progress through the apprenticeship. You will be mentored by an experienced procurement professional who will support you to develop. What will you be doing?
  • Involved in the whole procurement cycle from procurement planning through to contract award. 

  • Working with stakeholders across the organisation to embed sound and effective procurement practice. 

  • Working from home and the Council’s office at New Shire Hall in Alconbury Weald, you will be responsible for managing your own time but will work closely with the rest of the team to deliver high quality procurement support.  

  • Develop and analyse a range of data sets to inform the work of the team and enable effective performance management and reporting.

About you

You will need to bring strong communication skills and an attention to detail, operating with integrity and often working on your own initiative you will have strong organisation and IT skills. We are a strong team and we want to welcome a strong team player to our team.
