As the Channel Editor, Gardening, for Saga Home, you will propose, write, commission and edit original and inventive garden content for our exciting new site, working closely with our Homes Editor in Chief and managing our Gardens Writer.
We’re looking for a candidate with a true passion for gardening and an eye for a good story. Who knows their onions (as well as their sprouts, tomatoes and potatoes) when it comes to planting a vegetable patch, and whose dream day out would be a trip to Wisley or Tatton Park.

Every article should be written with the experienced Saga Exceptional audience in mind – addressing their passions, curiosities and needs. You’ll have first-rate SEO skills, a sound understanding of keyword strategy, and know how to incorporate the required E-E-A-T signals into top-quality content.
We're looking for a Channel Editor with an address book bursting with industry and PR contacts, which we’d expect you to grow and maintain by representing Saga Homes at key events, launches, meetings, briefings, and trade shows both nationally and internationally.
This is an exciting role for an established journalist with a passion for gardening, to join a new site at its conception. You’ll be coming in on the ground floor, helping us build Exceptional Home into the leading site in its market for the over 50s.
