Your role

To provide packaging direction to the Category teams and shape the category packaging development pipeline. To provide support to our Customer teams and to packaging personal assigned to Customer projects.

Responsible for the development, trialling and implementation of category packaging initiatives to meet company & category requirements across the business. Responsible for the translation of Category strategies into customer packaging Innovation & Development plans and vice versa.

To support the Head of Packaging across a broad & varied set of packaging initiatives.

What you’ll need

  • 5 years of experience in a packaging development role in an FMCG company
  • Previous experience in Packaging Development in the food industry with direct responsibility for launching packaging
  • Demonstrate ability to manage projects
  • Recent previous experience as a line manager
  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve & innovate
  • A demonstrable track record of successful packaging launches in the food sector
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills
  • A visible passion and enthusiasm for achieving targets, objectives and driving continuous improvement in a cross-functional team environment
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical abilities and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage workloads
  • Leadership skills, able to manage and motivate a small team across a split site business
  • Experience in coaching and personal development for team members
  • Have a flexible attitude to work with the ability to travel as required.
  • Adept user of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, MS Teams)
  • Full & clean Driving licence
