Due to the success of the internal promotion program at our Liverpool Regional Distribution Centre, we have an excellent opportunity for two experienced Warehouse Shift Managers to join the team.

Our distribution centres are some of the most technologically advanced in Europe, and we are looking for high calibre individuals to manage and lead the operations to support our sales in an expanding network.

Our existing sites in Liverpool and Amesbury will soon be added to by a third in St. Helens. Construction is well under way, creating promotional opportunities for our existing teams and making this the perfect time to join and be part of our expansion journey.

As a Shift Manager you will report to the Warehouse Manager and lead a team of Section Managers to ensure that there is a smooth-running operation, with a focus on safety, service and KPIs. Under your leadership the Section Managers will be coached and developed daily to ensure they are running their assigned sections and teams efficiently, by focusing in on their own teams and nurturing the talent that they work with.

• £61,024 base salary plus £11,594 night shift premium
• Nights - 10pm - 7am
• 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service

• Lead and manage a warehouse team to ensure a balance to both minimise cost and maximise performance
• Set and communicate your team’s objectives and KPIs, regularly managing and reviewing performance
• Create individual development plans with your management team
• Align team resources to deliver short term, tactical plans, ensuring recruitment activity aligns with operational plans
• Ensure your team have the right skills to perform their processes and procedures in order to both achieve their performance targets and meet our H&S and quality standards
• Ensure your team complies to all our warehouse H&S processes and procedures, ensuring mandatory training and compliance records are up to date

• Extensive experience of working in a fast-moving warehouse and distribution environment
• Advanced experience of leading managers within a fast-moving warehouse and distribution environment
• Advanced experience of managing warehousing regulatory H&S checks and procedures
• Experience of managing change including business improvement initiatives
• Experience of managing in a unionised environment
• Experience of managing efficiency improvement processes
