We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join Colas Ltd. The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting of projects to meet managements strategic objectives and to ensure project delivery within budget and on time.

Main Responsibilities

You will work with all Highway Services service areas (Reactive Maintenance / Pro Active Maintenance / Structures) ensuring the timely delivery, monitoring and reporting to management and Clients on project delivery. You will provide guidance to ensure effective ownership, analysis, and management of project requirements. You will meet with the PFI Operations Manager to identify project requirements and delivery timelines. You will provide detailed project updates to the Client on delivery progress of the various project streams via PowerPoint or similar and to work with the Client to agree various strategies. You will be responsible in developing detailed project plans to provide assurances to clients and management on adequate management interventions and revising based on changing needs and requirements. Your duties will involve considerable contact with other departments and external bodies requiring professional expertise and advice.

 

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have a Civil Engineering/Construction/Highways maintenance background in project management. A good understanding of highways maintenance operations is essential. You will have a strong relationship management and excellent communications skills. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in managing discrete projects and prioritising time critical work. A driving licence is required for this role.
