We are currently recruiting for a talented Solicitor to join our Court of Protection team in our London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join one of the UK’s largest Serious and Specialist injury law firms.

As a Solicitor you will manage client matters to provide a high level of client care whilst maintaining adherence to our National Practice Standards. Manages relationships with internal and external parties to ensure matters are dealt with in the appropriate way.

Responsibilities;

· Draft applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies for property and affairs

· Work on statutory will applications

· Work on gift applications

· Gratuitous care applications

· Annual OPG accounts

· Liaising with investment managers re: portfolio’s

· Organizing purchase of properties and adaptations to meet client needs

· Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005

· Ability to adjust approach according to capacity level of client

What we are looking for;

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT systems, particularly Tikit

· Would be very advantageous to have good knowledge of excel

· Relevant work experience

· Proactive

· Attention to detail

· Excellent time management and organisational skills
