Our client an established and reputable groundworks and construction contractor is recruiting for an Estimator to join their commercial team based in their offices near Ipswich.

Main responsibilities in role include -

Providing estimating support with bids and contracts.

Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to produce accurate and timely estimates/cost data.

To prepare civils and groundworks tenders for residential and commercial construction projects, from review of information, measure, procurement of quotes for sub-contract and material requirements, and collation for submission. Accurately determining the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labour for construction projects.

Make accurate time and cost estimates, and resolve any issues that arise.

Preparing estimates to meet project goals.

Accurately determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labour for construction projects.

Skills and Experience required.

Experience of working within a groundworks estimator role is preferred ideally with subcontractor estimating experience.

Effective communication and negotiating skills.

Ability to work autonomously and to strict deadlines

Good at multi-tasking and remaining calm and effective under pressure.
