Foodbuy is a leading food procurement organisation based in the UK. With over £1bn of managed spend, we bring together the widest range of foodservice and hospitality clients on the planet to buy food, and everything associated with it. We work closely with our clients to deliver expert procurement services saving them both time and money and enabling them to focus on what really matters to their businesses.

In Foodbuy connectivity with the Compass business has never been so important. As Foodbuy continues to support all the sectors across the challenges of inflation, supply chain and growth, it’s also important that we look for ways to make it easier, simpler and more effective to work in collaboration together. This is a new, exciting, pivotal and commercially focused senior role sitting at the centre of the Foodbuy Compass Clients team, which also incorporates the central Recipe/Menu Management team and the Client Experience team.

The Commercial Directors will each be responsible for one of Compass’ core sectors, sitting alongside senior sector focused colleagues on the sector executive team. They will be responsible for delivering against a jointly agreed set of KPIs designed to help the sector achieve its strategic priorities for 2023 and beyond and to help Foodbuy achieve its procurement vision.

The role helps to shape the strategic supply chain requirements of the sector, working with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery. Interfacing with the sector executive team, the Commercial Director will hold the wider functions within Foodbuy and Suppliers to account on delivery and the development required to meet these needs. The Commercial Director will also play a key role in the delivery of UK-wide and sector specific critical projects as required, either as commercial lead or in support of a colleague.
