By joining Saga Village as a project manager, you will play an integral role in building something that we believe will be truly exceptional and unique, providing our customers with the peer-to-peer connection experience and trusted online space they have told us they want. 

The key focus of your role will be to support the team in delivery of the Village workstreams. In return for the project management capabilities and can do attitude you will bring to Saga Village, you will become a valued colleague of a friendly, collaborative and hard working team.  

We want to deliver Saga Village with precision pace, so we are looking for someone who is super flexible and can adapt our plans quickly if the insight tells us to alter our path. We need someone who is organized, willing to role up their sleeves and "get stuck in" as well as holding the team true to our plans & actions.  

We believe that in-person collaboration will be critical to delivering Saga Village at precision pace. This role will require you to work from our London office at least twice a week over the next 6 months, participating in workshops and to support an agile delivery methodology. You may also be asked to support our Head of Partnerships and travel to meet potential Village partners.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing project support to both the Head of Innovation & the Head of Partnerships within the Community & Partnership workstreams
  • Supporting the Head of Strategic Planning in the overall programme management of Saga Village
  • Providing support to all areas of the Saga Village project, including but not limited to budget tracking, action tracking and delivery planning.
  • Participating in Village strategy planning
  • Acting as a conduit between the Saga Village & the wider Saga business where required
  • Develops and manages resource plan, including securing commitment of SME resources & specific business unit resources as required
  • Delivers projects to agreed quality standards using Saga’s approved change approach and methodology
  • Prepares and chairs regular meetings for progress review with stakeholders
  • Provides regular project transparency by reporting project status via appropriate tools such as project dashboards and Sharepoint
  • Identifies risks and Issues and defines actions to mitigate; escalates issues as appropriate
  • Identifies stakeholder and communications needs, engaging project team members in execution of communications messages
