As a Commercial Manager at Sodexo, you are also a knowledgeable and strong leader and will take responsibility for the financial management of operational projects at Hereford County Hospital.

You will manage the commercial output from the contract while Identifying commercial risk for onsite activity and projects. In conjunction with the Business Director you will weigh up risk vs reward, developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and actions

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify commercial risk for onsite activity and projects and in conjunction with the Business Director, weigh up risk vs reward, developing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies and actions
  • Provide full commercial input, contractual advice and support to all operational managers
  • Take responsibility for the financial management of projects.
  • Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility
  • Calculating material quantities and costs, Labour costs and an achievable project timeframes
  • Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
  • Preparing Labour and supplier accounts for payment
  • Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients
  • Recognise business opportunities.
  • Have overview of compliance and performance contractual metrics, supporting Heads of Service, helping to improve company procedures, standards or policies

  • Track record of delivering successful results and finding pragmatic solutions, in a complex matrix environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams
  • Excellent organisational skills to balance and prioritise their workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills to grow client relationship
  • Knowledge of project management and risk management
  • Solid financial skills, including financial reporting abilities
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations and industry trends
  • Strong strategic and negotiation skills to make sound commercial decisions
