We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the team in Cheshire, to assist Management Accountants and the Finance Department with finance/administrative tasks to ensure a complete finance service to the whole company.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible with dealing with both internal and external supplier queries. You will record, code and process purchase/subcontract invoices after completing checks. You will be responsible for inputting timesheets into a payroll system and sale invoices onto the computer system as required. You will use Excel, MS Windows and Computerised Accounting System to collate monthly data for reporting purposes. You will be required to help management accountant complete month end tasks and support other areas of the Finance Team as and when required. You will ensure that all operations carried out within our area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for the safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have some exposure of the back office of a finance department, be comfortable with financial administration and ideally have an interest in progressing your career within finance. You will ideally have some background in finance and experience working within financial administration and be comfortable supporting senior management with daily finance tasks. You will need to be reliable, have a great attention to detail and have great communication skills. A good knowledge of excel is essential.
