The starting salary for this role is £29,29, based on working 36-hours per week.

Surrey County Council is seeking to recruit a full time Project Support Officer to be part of a Projects Support Team. The team supports project delivery and is an integral part of the day to day running of the Land & Property team.

About the role:

The Land & Property service is responsible for the management of the Council’s property portfolio comprising approximately 2000 main properties, with an estate valued at £2 billion, and expenditure on the estate in excess of £60 million per annum.

In this role, you will be part of a team supporting the Schools Programme, activities relating to landlord/tenant management, acquisitions, disposals, facilities management and strategic asset management projects.

Using our Land & Property asset system (Planon), you will record programmes of work, create project records and place contract orders to suppliers. You will also record progress updates, process works and fee payments, and provide reports to project leads and managers.

This role has a core base location of Woodhatch in Reigate. However, meetings will occur at other sites at which you will be required to attend. In addition, our organisation supports remote working, and this can include working from home or from other partner offices both within and outside of the County. About you:

To be considered for interview, your CV and personal statement will evidence the following:

  • Good IT skills, including Office 365, Excel, and database management systems
  • Practical business support skills acquired through substantial previous work experience in a business environment providing support to staff
  • Self-motivation with willingness to work as part of a team
