Your role

Reporting to the Chargehand and Engineering Coordinators the post holder will provide an effective engineering service to the production team and respond to demands in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will also maintain equipment both proactively and reactively to ensure factory performance meets targets and KPIs, as well as improving equipment availability and performance to meet targets.

This is a continental shift pattern where you will be required to work the following working pattern:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7.00am to 7.00pm

Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday 7.00am to 7.00pm

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7.00pm to 7.00am

Week 4: Wednesday and Thursday 7.00pm to 7.00am

What you’ll need

Essential

Desirable
  • Must be a Time/Skill-Served Electrically & Mechanically with Industrial Experience.
  • Must have an Electrical & Mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Fault finding experience on automated machinery essential
  • Must be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Good reasoning ability essential.
  • Must have experience of Three and Single Phase motors.
  • The ability to make decisions is desirable.
  • The ability to organise time is desirable.
  • Showing initiative is desirable.
  • Good communication skills are desirable.
  • Good interpersonal skills are desirable.
  • Experience of PLC controlled machinery is desirable.
  • Experience of High Voltage Distribution System is desirable.
  • Experience of poultry processing machinery is desirable.
  • Experience within a Food Processing Industry is desirable.
  • Food Processing/High Speed Packaging experience is desirable.
