A permanent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Stores manager to join our Fleet, Facilities and Logistics team. We are looking for someone to manage the staff and stores department and monitor the performance of the Stores service, to ensure goods are obtained, suppliers are managed, and provide reporting as set out by the business. 

The Role:

  • Manage the stores operations to ensure appropriate stock/mobile stock levels are monitored and ensure agreed delivery targets are met
  • Perform all management duties for the team; directing, setting targets and objectives to provide and develop an efficient Stores service
  • Manage the section’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety management and to develop new processes and procedures as appropriate
  • Liaise with company stakeholders across the business, including, Finance & purchasing to discuss discrepancies, undertake investigations to identify reasons and abide by financial regulations
  • Ensure all products procured provide Value for Money on behalf of the Company
  • To deputise for the Head of Fleet, Facilities & Logistics as required

Experience in working to Financial Regulations, Tenders and Contract Procedure rules along with knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety processes and procedures in Stores operations is essential. The successful candidate must have the ability of consulting and able to demonstrate skills to improve services and performance.

We are looking for someone with experience of using stock management software and ideally, you will hold a relevant professional qualification; but more importantly good experience within a similar role and sharing our values is something we as a business do prioritise.

The expected start date of this post is 01 March 2023.
