Machine Minder

Unity Personnel are now partnering with a well-known subsidiary of a supermarket brand based in Normanton. They are now looking for a Machine Minder to work within the Engineering Team working on a four on, two off pattern of work (5.30am to 2.30pm and 2.15pm to 10.30pm).

To provide high quality engineering maintenance support to the department. You will ensure that equipment is set up and operated effectively throughout the shift with a particular focus on engineering downtime, improvements in production efficiencies and process reliability.

The main duties will involve:
• Setting up and operating machinery to set controls
• Ensuring the lines run at the optimum run rate
• Completing and assisting in changeovers within the minimum timescale
• Escalating any breakdowns through the agreed procedure
• Adhering to GMP standards at all times
• Completing and action fault finding exercises on machines.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and competences:
• A strong mechanical aptitude with at least six months maintenance fitting experience, preferably within the food industry
• A basic electrical understanding
• Strong practical and fault finding skills
• A methodical approach to work
• Strong communication skills
• Completion of an appropriate engineering qualification, which would be a desirable advantage

The package:-
• Up to £31,544 per annum
• 4 on 2 off shift pattern
