We are currently recruiting for a well known National Plant Services Company based in Nottingham, they are looking for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Controller.

Main Duties:
• To manage, control and supply, compliant and timely service scheduling for all the vehicles/assets that are either presented to 3rd party maintenance providers or supplied from spot hire suppliers, based on your industry knowledge.
• Using your technical expertise ensuring that breakdowns / defect rectification work is authorised supported by the most technically correct repair and cost-effective repair processes available.
• To ensure the escalation of any occurrences where assets are not presented for the required scheduled event, or where any supplier fails to supply the required data.

• To ensure that all information provided on service documentation is interpreted and actioned appropriately, to ensure legal compliance.

• To update and maintain the Go Plant Fleet Services asset database and ensure the relevant vehicle/asset certificates are available for inspection to demonstrate legal compliance.

• To process the service scheduling for all vehicles/assets serviced by 3rd party maintenance providers, ensuring that all compliance events are recorded and that documents are available.

• To effectively challenge 3rd party maintenance providers or spot hire suppliers on costs relating to repair, damage, tyre authorisations and breakdowns for all vehicle/assets supplied to our clients, ensuring compliance with quality standards and UK/EU legislation.

• To intuitively offer specialised advice and guidance around vehicle maintenance and repair.

• To effectively administer the job card process, ensuring that jobs are coded and closed in accordance with procedure, and that all outstanding, open job cards are investigated for closure. That all invoices are processed in the correct periods.

• To effectively administer and report vehicle/asset recalls and manufacturer service notifications.

Skills And Experience:

• Qualification in HGV repair and maintenance or NVQ Level 3 Light vehicle and repair
• Understanding of vehicle maintenance including compliance and legal documentation
• Excellent IT skills
• Knowledge of Jaama Key2 desirable
• Understanding of a job card process
• Recharges and invoice management
• Good team player
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of parts and parts ordering (Specialist Fleet)

This role is available immediately and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch).
The salary is between £28-30k per annum, depending on skills and experience.
