The Vacancy

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Lecturer in Performing Arts for Supported Learning working as part of a vibrant team within creative Industries. The successful applicant will teach level 1 and 2 Performing arts and Level 3 Media studies. The candidate will be responsible for devising classes that inspire students in all aspects of the arts.  

The main responsibilities of this role include: the delivery and assessment of high-quality learning; devising and directing cross curricular productions, providing support for music gigs as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.

 This post requires a strong background in Supported Learning and the candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in the Performing Arts sector.

The candidate must be qualified to honours degree level (Level 6) or qualified to the industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.  It is desirable that the candidate has experience of being a course tutor.
