HR Officer Temp
£20.14ph incl hol
35 hours per week, Full Time, Hybrid
Our wonderful International Charity Client is seeking a HR Officer for a temp position for 6 months from Jan 2023.
As HR Officer you will:
• Support end to end recruitment processes including drafting questions, advertising and participating on decision panels
• Lead the offer stage of recruitment including drafting / checking contract / offer paperwork
• Responsible for the induction processes ensuring best practice
• To be responsible for ensuring the on-boarding process runs smoothly including overseeing all aspect of the process with the HR assistant
• Support the management of any employee relations case load as required supporting the HR Manager and HR Assistant
• To prepare adhoc individual tailored letters (ER, offer, flexible working etc) as required
• Support in the management of maternity, paternity and sick absence issues supporting managers and holding meetings to discuss same with employees if needed
• Monitor short term sickness with the HR Assistant
• Support HR Manager with managing long term sickness cases including processing occupational health reports when required
• Provide accurate advice to employees and management on general HR policies/procedures and manage the processes
• Assist improved employee performance through support to line management and HR in performance related issues that may arise
• Assist in any program rollouts (i.e. performance review process, salary planning, benefits open enrolment, etc.)
• Conduct exit interviews as and when required escalating contentious cases Head of HR
• Support to work collaboratively with HR assistant and managers in processing staff changes forms timely and accurately ensuring the relevant paperwork is completed and systems updated
• Ensure all probation periods reviews are completed within a timely fashion and support managers with any individuals that are below expectations.
• Ensure systems/trackers are updated accurately on a regular basis in areas of relevant responsibility
Skills and experience required includes:
• Part qualified CIPD preferred or working towards it
• Experienced in dealing with Employee Relations matters such as disciplinary and grievances
• Experience of supporting end to end recruitment cycle
• Previous experience in Human Resources administration and HR systems essential
• Excellent computer skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
