The vacancy

With the business going through an exciting period of growth & development we are currently looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join us on a permanent basis.

You will play a key role within Arrow’s information security function by managing core technical security controls, supporting local IT teams in securing their IT infrastructure, supporting the technical response to security incidents, and the delivery of strategic initiatives such as the adoption of new technologies, and the acquisition and IT integration of new businesses.

We are open to location within the UK and can offer remote working with the requirement to travel to one of our offices once a month. We have offices in 5 locations across Europe. We also offer the opportunity of funding for certifications and can support the successful candidate with further education opportunities and continuous professional development.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing critical security controls (e.g., web and email, MDM, IdAM, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing)
  • Management and oversight of the Incident Detection & Response process in conjunction with multiple 3rd party service providers, e.g., SOC/MSSP
  • Managing of the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle and engaging with local IT teams to executive resolution activity
  • Managing infrastructure security, including LAN, WAN, and public facing websites and customer portals
  • Investigating suspected and actual security incidents in accordance with the security incident management standard, produce reports with recommendations, and support any remediation activity required

Is this you?

  • Proven experience within a technical security role
  • Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Professional certification such as Security , SSCP, CISM or other relevant information security credentials
  • Experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls, authentication systems, log management, and security content filtering tools – email and web
  • Experience of working within or alongside an MSSP or SOC provider
  • Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
  • Strong communicator with positive influencing and interpersonal skills
