Cygnet Hospital Derby provides low secure and mental health rehabilitation care based on the Recovery Model. Our integrated male care pathway includes Litchurch Ward, our low secure ward, and the Wyvern Unit, our mental health rehabilitation service. Alvaston Ward, our specialist female personality disorder service, is one of the leading services of its kind in the East and West Midlands.

We are looking for a full time Accounts and HR Administrator to join our team at Cygnet Derby to provide comprehensive service across accounts and HR 

Your role will be to ensure systems and processes are continuously improved and meet the needs of the developing organisation.

You will be working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and ideally have previous Accounts and HR experience. This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

 

Your role...

  • Collect and collate information to be submitted to the Finance Department, including patient funding, daily service user and staff census and HPPD data and monthly payroll summaries. 
  • Responsible for supplier invoices, staff expensive, allocation of petty cash and co-ordinating the use of the unit's credit card 
  • receiving, coordinating authorisation and distribution to regional accounts office for payment.
  • Be first point of call for all applicants, interviews, new starter inductions, on-boarding and HR queries.
  • Complete pre-employment checks for all new staff members including offer letters; contracts; DBS; occupational health; references and right to work identification
  • Be responsible for all personnel records for the unit and adherence with employee requirements including RTW, DBS, references etc.
  • Maintain effective and efficient communication with all internal staff and external stakeholders

We're looking for people who have:

  • Previous HR and Accounts experience
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Ability to work in a fast paced office environment
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure with competing deadlines without compromising the quality of work produced.
  • Proficient software knowledge/skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook/e-mail PowerPoint program)
  • Ability to note take
