We have full time and part time opportunities within our Preston team for Band 5 staff nurses within the Lancashire Young People and Healthy Families service. You will work as part of the 0-19 years School Nursing Specialist Support team under the direction of the School Nurse and Specialist Safeguarding Team Leader.
You will provide key elements of the Healthy Child Programme in addition to targeted safeguarding support based on individual families’ needs as delegated by the School Nurse or Team Leader.
Working within Lancashire Child and Family Wellbeing Services offers a unique environment, with clear visibility of senior management who are easily approachable due to their hands-on approach, which includes our Managing Director. You will be a registered nurse with NMC registration and a passion for improving the lives of children and families within the local community. Experience and an understanding of health promotion / public health activities is desirable, along with the ability to act independently, as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
As this is a community role, you will also have a valid UK driving licence, with access to a car for work purposes. Although we can make certain accommodations if you do not yet have a driving licence or are unable to hold one.
