We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Stevenage.

This position plays a crucial role in the team’s success and provides the engineering expertise needed to deliver the Capital Projects Rules of the road.

You will offer technical support in the day-to-day supervision of all project related works that take place onsite within the property portfolio. You will work collaboratively within the Projects team to support the project manager delivering a project portfolio.

The role is based at Stevenage R&D site but not limited to Harlow and Addenbrookes sites should project opportunities arise on these sites.

You will:

• Be the technical lead on design specification to assist the PM on creation of new project scopes from a technical services input using your technical qualifications and experience to ensure compliance and EHS standards are met.
• Assist the Project Manager with the creation of HOP document to ensure all aspects are fully captured in Safety MaCC form in line with processes.
• Be the Sodexo contact for any EHS topics around scope of engineering solutions and resolve with GSK EHS on agreed solutions which must be documented.
• Request and review of all relevant documents for each project from contractors 48hrs prior to works commencing e.g. RAMS, CSCS cards, Asbestos Certificates etc.
• Create C.O.W pack documents for each project
• Be responsible for re-instatement of any isolations in place.
• Conduct post work snagging with PM to ensure a high standard of work is achieved
• Collaborate in after action reviews and implement standards that support the PM to deliver each project on time

You will be a seasoned Project Engineer with sound experience of working in a high specification R&D site with GxP experience and possess strong client facing capabilities.

You will also have:

• A City & Guilds in Mechanical & Electrical Systems or Equivalent
• 5- 10 years of experience working in the construction/Building services industry.
• Experience of managing Safely IOSH or NEBOSH Equivalent
• A strong understanding in HVAC systems and regulations
• An expert understanding of the Global Engineering Standards (GES)
• Experience in managing a SSoW and ePTW system is mandatory.
• A valid UK driving licence for travel between sites if required.
• Working knowledge and experience of CDM 2015 regulations.
