So, what does the role of an Account Technician/Process Handler here involve?

This role will be made for you if you love working in a support role to provide an outstanding service to existing and new customers. You will help develop relationships with clients who are looking to find the right Insurance products to fit their needs.

Our Account Technicians/Process Handlers are excellent at compiling information, liaising with internal colleagues and insurers to obtain quotations and place cover when instructed, inviting and confirming renewals, dealing with mid-term adjustments, collecting money when requested and setting up client loans using Close Premium Finance. This role will be to support the administration of our medical malpractice portfolio.

What you will do

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more:

  • Support the Health & Beauty team with the Medical Malpractice portfolio of commercial clients.
  • Regularly communicate with management on relevant activities and progress.
  • Participate in all team communications to ensure a proactive and informative contribution is made.
  • Continuously share information within the team to help provide a seamless service to clients, that all data is relevant, accurate and up to date.
  • Carry out personal learning, training and assessments relevant to the role.

What experience does our Account Technician/Process Handler need?

Insurance experience is not essential, although would be preferred, as you will be offered full training and support. However, we are looking for someone with customer service experience, particularly on the telephone. Strong Outlook and Excel skills are also key as you will be using these applications daily.

  • Always demonstrate integrity, not only is this essential within a financially regulated organisation, it’s also the right way to be.

This can be a hybrid working role after probation is passed with 2 days working from home if business/team management permits. It is a Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm role.
